Tango

Amy and Roberto are delighted that Carlos Quilici will be with them in Pathhead for a wonderful Tango filled weekend!

Carlos Quilici is a bandoneonist, arranger, composer, director, and teacher of tango, from Rosario, Argentina.

He has recorded five albums with “Los Tauras”, two with the “Orquesta de Carlos Quilici” (the second with maestro Rodolfo Cholo Montironi as a guest), a double album of solo bandoneon, one with the “Orquesta Juvenil de Tango de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario” directed by maestro Domingo Federico” and has participated in many others.

Carlos graduated in 1996 as a “Bandoneon Instrumental Technician” at the School of Music of the National University of Rosario and has been a teacher of bandoneon there since 2000. He also teaches courses on tango and bandoneon, in private and public settings, as well as musicality workshops for dancers. In addition to having a deep tango legacy from his early childhood from his father Gerardo Quilici, a prominent collector and disseminator of tango, he has studied with great teachers, such as Domingo Federico and Rodolfo Mederos.

Whether playing solo, in a small ensemble or with his full orchestra, Carlos’ music delights audiences the world over.
